New shows to keep you glued to the screen
Afrowood Multimedia City may serve as a standard of excellence for all other Film Villages in Africa. It is our abiding principle to accomplish and surpass this mission statement such that the village would become a multi-purpose centre for international and local productions.
It is in part of an institution where learning and training would take place, a centre where various seminars, workshops and conferences would hold in film making. Participants would be trained in making explosions, the technique of pyrotechnics, smoke, special effects and spectacular stunts.
Afrowood film village intends to take African films to the next level. It’s going to be equipped with state of the art technology for film making and entertainment.
We want to be in the forefront of providing and using solid and high class infrastructure for our films, music, television, and host of other allied products.
The cultural village will be a tourist destination with sprawling residents and holiday resort area for the relaxation of tourists. It is going to have the conviviality of a relaxed atmosphere where guests are welcomed to the rich hospitality of traditional African ways with a suitable escort to their traditional styled chalet. Guests will have the opportunity of discovering many colourful and fascinating.
At the cultural village, tourists will have the opportunity to attend amphitheatre for live performance, view visual theatre presentation on the history and origin of African cultures. Much more, there would be a guided tour of many facets of the cultural village such as an exhibition hall, museums, African food, African market, traditional singing and dancing, exotic African designs, handcrafts, hand-woven baskets, reed mats, bamboo chairs, tables, trunks. In addition, guests would be treated to arrays of galleries on antiques, curios, seed-on-canvas pictures, hand-made copper pictures, drawings embossed on copper plates, etc. No doubt guests would have a swell time here.

The concern of attracting investment, know-how and market accessibility remains paramount to ACFV, more so the worldwide phenomenal growth of Nollywood can no longer be ignored despite its inherent challenges. Its positive impact on Nigerian economy is gathering momentum with the cheering prospects of becoming a major economic index in the nearest time future.
In this direction, we see Nollywood as a major stakeholder that can add impetus to this tourist and business destination hub of West Africa. Also, with Millennium Development Goal (MDG) at the back of our mind. ACFV should serve as an economic growth that would reduce acute poverty, hunger, diseases, and open vista of opportunities for productive employment.
